PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus which makes communication with a prescribed apparatus without the need for noticing a difference from a communication protocol. SOLUTION: The communication apparatus 1 connected to the prescribed apparatus 2 via a network includes: one or more application means 10 for requesting communication with the apparatus 2; and a communication module means 100 that selects a communication protocol communicable with the apparatus 2 and executes the communication in response to the request from the application means 10 by utilizing the selected communication protocol.
