PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the miniaturization of a device body with a simple construction by making the most of a dead space generated in a paper storage part and a ribbon storage part, in a recording device equipped with the paper storage part which can store the paper and a ribbon storage part which can store an ink ribbon of a supply shaft onto a take-up shaft in the way the ribbon can be taken up. SOLUTION: A distance between the paper storage part 2a and the rotational center of the take-up shaft 5 in the state that data can be recorded, is larger than the radius of a ribbon take-up part of the take-up shaft 5 paper storage part 2a and smaller than the radius of a ribbon roll 3b after taking up a ribbon.
