PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control end part temperature so that an error in rotational angle of a magnetic field width switching roller is not accumulated during printing. SOLUTION: A fixing device which is heated by electromagnetic induction heating as a heat generating source and fuses toner on a recording medium with its heat includes: the magnetic field width switching roller 55 which switches a magnetic field width of induction heating by rotation; a rotating means for rotating the magnetic field width switching roller 55 to an arbitrary angle; a detection means for detecting a reference angle; and a control means for rotating the magnetic field width switching roller 55 to the arbitrary angle after rotating it to the reference angle by a control part during printing.
