DOMESTIC DISHWASHER HAVING A METERING DEVICE, AND METHOD OF METERING ACTIVE SUBSTANCES

The invention relates to a domestic dishwasher (1) having a housing in which a dishwashing compartment (2) is arranged, and having at least one metering device (13; 15) which is arranged within the housing and is intended for adding an active substance into the dishwashing compartment in a program-controlled manner. In order to make it possible to store relatively large quantities of cleaning agent, and thus, if appropriate, to meter the same automatically, it is proposed that the metering device (15) be designed for separately storing and discharging a liquid and/or pasty cleaning agent (16) and a liquid and/or pasty bleach (17), in which case the metering device (15) is equipped with storage containers (18, 19) which have a capacity which goes beyond the quantity of cleaning agent (16) and/or bleach (17) which is required for a single dishwashing operation. The invention also relates to a method of metering cleaning agent (16) and bleach (17) into the dishwashing compartment (2) of such a domestic dishwasher (1). In order to simplify the refilling operation, it is proposed that, within a dishwashing program, the cleaning agent (16) and the bleach (17) be metered in quantities of which the ratio corresponds to the ratio of the capacity of the storage containers (18, 19).
