The multi function switch has contact carriers [7,8] that move selectively on a circuit board to provide control of the raising and sliding actions of an automobile sunroof. The mechanism has a user input [3] that is moved on a pivot [1'] to produce the sliding action and on a second element [1''] to provide the raising action.
