Provided are a dust collector and a vacuum cleaner therewith to empty a dust-collecting receptacle conveniently by separating the dust-collecting receptacle from a body unit and an upper cover from the dust-collecting receptacle, and to check the internal state of the dust collecting receptacle by making an outer wall of a main chamber using transparent material. A vacuum cleaner includes a suction nozzle for sucking air including dust, a body unit(200) communicated with the suction nozzle and provided with a cyclone unit for separating dust from the suction air, a driving unit formed in the body and provided with a fan motor assembly for generating suction force into the suction nozzle, a body discharge unit(290) discharging air through the cyclone unit, and a dust-collecting receptacle(330) detachably and attachably mounted in the body unit and connected to the cyclone unit to store dust. Plural cyclones are mounted in the cyclone unit, and conically formed.
