<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology capable of shortening recording time even in the case of seek operation in an optical disk device. <P>SOLUTION: When data are recorded on an optical disk, the linear velocity of the current laser beam irradiation position in the rotating optical disk is detected, the recording power corresponding to the detected linear velocity is acquired by calculation. The acquired recording power is set as a write strategy of a prescribed voltage level and a prescribed time width, a laser diode is driven on the basis of the set write strategy, and the recording of data on the optical disk is enabled to start before completion of the seek. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
