<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorizing body and device capable of removing composite odor such as body odor and evacuation odor generated in a care or evacuation of bedridden persons in hospital and institutions for the elderly for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: This deodorizing body comprises adsorbent having chemisorption to hydrogen sulfide, adsorbent having physisorption, catalyst containing cobalt and having catalysis, and a carrier supporting the adsorbent and the catalyst; and is characterized in that, after the catalyst inverts aldehydes into carboxylic acid, the adsorbent adsorbs and removes it. The carboxylic acid has an adsorption performance of 30 times or more of those of activated carbon and zeolite so as to provide the deodorizing body and a deodorizing device that remove the composite odor generated in the care and the evacuation of the bedridden persons in the hospital and the institutions for the elderly, for a long period of time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
