<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in order to grasp the using status of an image forming device, an investigation through an investigation company for service men has to be performed, and a high cost is required. <P>SOLUTION: An ink cartridge 10 is equipped with a non-volatile memory 130. When a demand for the information update of the non-volatile memory 130 of the detachable ink cartridge 10 is received, a control section 301 of the device body 1 makes the non-volatile memory 130 of the ink cartridge 10 store the data for cartridge peculiar information which is recorded in a non-volatile memory 315 of the image forming device body 1, cost management information, and information regarding the using status by a user for the function of the device body 1, through a cartridge communication circuit 314. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
