<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required for start of image display on a LCD device after power-on, in a personal digital assistant. <P>SOLUTION: A LCD controller 2N connected to a host controller 1 through two data communication lines 50 and 51 includes a video RAM 24 for storing image data, a register group 27 for storing write control data and output control data, a VRAM writing part 23 for writing image data into the video RAM 24 on the basis of write control data, and an image data output part for outputting image data in the video RAM 24 to a LCD device 3 on the basis of output control data. The host controller 1 outputs image data through a data communication line 51 after output of write control data and outputs output control data to a data communication line 50 during output of image data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
