RELEVANT INFORMATION RETRIEVAL DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retrieval device providing an environment allowing a user to comfortably select an optimum candidate even when many candidates are extracted for a search word.

SOLUTION: A search word candidate extraction part 20 extracts search word candidates based on image data and sound data of contents 22. A keyword display control part 27 displays the extracted search word candidates as keywords in a display part 17 while moving them along with a reproduced image. A keyword selection part 28 selects one of the displayed keywords displayed by the display control part 27. A keyword retrieval part 29 searches a database for information relevant to the selected keyword, and the search result is displayed in a display part 29.
