<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the measurement of the amount of body fat with a higher reliability by eliminating the need for re-measurement even when a large contact resistance occurs in an electrode of a body fat measuring apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The body fat measuring apparatus 1 is provided with a differential amplification circuit 5, a switch means 9, a comparison means 10 and an arithmetic circuit 7. When a voltage V1' and a voltage V2' in a first current path are inputted to the differential amplification circuit 5 for measuring a circuit voltage of the body fat measuring apparatus 1, the switch means 9 switches the direction from which the voltage is applied to a second current path. The arithmetic circuit 7 determines a differential voltage ΔV4 between the first and second current paths. When the differential voltage ΔV4 is determined to be smaller than a prescribed voltage value ΔV by the comparison means 10, the arithmetic circuit 7 calculates the amount of body fat from the voltage V41 or the voltage V4 determined from the voltage V42. This accomplishes the measurement of the amount of body fat with a higher reliability without requiring the re-measurement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
