PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an image quality degradation caused by warping of a frame during the rotation of a rotary type developing device. SOLUTION: The rotary type developing device includes: a plurality of developing units 13 in which toners corresponding to colors are stored and corresponding developing rollers 14 are disposed; a freely rotatable frame 29 that has support parts 28 extending parallel to the axial direction of the developing rollers 14 and supporting the developing units 13, and also has an opening section 32 disposed in the axially outward direction of the support parts 28 and open on the inner circumferential side; and a support member 33 disposed along the inner circumference of the opening section 32, surrounding the rotation center of the frame 29 and supporting the frame 29 from its inner circumferential side.
