<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for adapting a cooling profile of an information handling system in changing a hardware configuration. <P>SOLUTION: When the hardware configuration of the information handling system is changed by addition or removal of a processing configuration component, the cooling profile of the information handling system is adjusted. A cooling profile engine searches a thermal profile from the configuration component for example, adapts the thermal profile to a cooling profile table, and by searching the cooling profile related to a configuration having the configuration component, adapts the cooling profile to adjust the processing configuration component thermal profile. A cooling profile adjustment is managed via a network so that the adjusted cooling profile adapts to other information handling systems operating nearby such as a blade information handling system of a blade server. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
