PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform load distribution of a storage system having a function virtulizing a common actual device by a plurality of storage controllers. SOLUTION: This storage system 100 has: a host system 1008 requiring data input/output to the actual device 1055; and the plurality of storage controllers 1019, 1032 each having at least one virtual device 1030, 1042. The each virtual device 1030, 1042 is a device virtualized with the common actual device 1055. The host system 1008 sets a partial logical path among a plurality of logical paths connected to the plurality of virtual devices 1030, 1042 virtualized with the common actual device 1055 as an alternate path of the other logical path.
