PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hedge trimmer compact and excellent in handiness while securing workability improvement, and set with an extending member advantageous on a cost aspect. SOLUTION: The hedge trimmer such that a cover 18 to be attached to a blade part 4 is externally fitted from the rear side to a lower handle 8 of a main body housing 2, a joint handle 10 having an additional installation part 11 along the top of the cover 18 is set on a hanging part 9, and the lower handle 8 together with the cover 18 and the additional installation part 11 are made connectable with screws 16 and 16.
