The plank has a group of longitudinal wooden sticks (1) with fibrillations that stretch longitudinally and have cross grained wooden areas (2) alternately arranged along a width of the plank. The cross-grained wooden areas are composed of cross-grained wooden blocks (4) which are placed adjacent to one another, and the wooden sticks run along a length of the plank. The cross-grained wooden blocks are glued with each other and with the wooden strips. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a plank.
