<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an error of an estimated magnetic pole position based on a harmonic component included in a motor current, while suppressing a computing load as compared with a conventional one in a synchronous motor. <P>SOLUTION: The harmonic component i<SB>γ_h</SB>of a γ-axis current value i<SB>γ</SB>is extracted as the harmonic component of the motor current, then a compensation amount i<SB>comp</SB>to the estimated magnetic pole position θ<SB>re</SB>is directly computed from the extracted harmonic component i<SB>γ_h</SB>. In other words, in view of the harmonic component of the motor current becoming an error factor when the estimated magnetic pole position θ<SB>re</SB>is obtained, the compensation amount i<SB>comp</SB>corresponding to the error of the estimated magnetic pole position caused by its harmonic component is directly obtained from the harmonic component i<SB>γ_h</SB>of the γ-axis current value i<SB>γ</SB>by which the computing load to obtain the compensation amount i<SB>comp</SB>is reduced as compared with the conventional one. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
