<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectrochemical battery, in which the charge transport layer such as an electrolyte and a solvent or the like contained in the charge transport layer will not be lost, and which has superior durability, even if it is stored at a high temperature. <P>SOLUTION: A conductive substrate, semiconductor particulates with photosensitive coloring elements absorbed, and a laminate containing a charge transport layer and a counter electrode, are sealed by a sealing compound, to make the photoelectrochemical battery.
