PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting magnet that operates in an alternating current (AC) environment. SOLUTION: A cold mass (202) for a superconducting magnet system (10) in one example comprises a superconducting magnet (203), a coolant cooling circuit (206), and a magnet/cooling circuit support (208). The magnet/cooling circuit support (208) comprises a substantially conductive coupler (702) in a discrete path that serves to couple the superconducting magnet (203) and the coolant cooling circuit (206).
