PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink cartridge which can suppress ink leakage caused by breakage or the like of a film, by reducing a burden received by the film when a part of a wall faces of an ink reservoir are composed of the film, and to provide the ink reservoir. SOLUTION: The ink reservoir 100 forms an ink storing chamber for storing ink by securing the film 160 to an opening peripheral edge of a frame part 110. The frame part 110 is equipped with inner peripheral fusion parts (ribs) 411a-417a which support the film from the ink storing chamber side. For example, even when the film 160 is shifted towards the ink storing chamber side following a change of the outside atmospheric pressure or temperature, etc., the shift is regulated by each rib, so that the burden received by the film 160 can be reduced. In consequence, generation of the breakage of the film 160 or releasing of a securing part is avoided, making it possible to suppress the leakage of the ink to the outside.
