PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of reducing leakage of bodily fluid, especially soft feces. SOLUTION: The paper diaper 1 comprises an absorber 12 and a space 111 whose cross section is formed in the shape of a triangle surrounded by a gathered sheet 13, a liquid-impermeable film material 14 and a front surface sheet 10a. With this structure, soft feces excreted into the paper diaper 1 can be temporarily stored in the space 111 so that the bodily fluid component of the soft feces is absorbed in the absorber 12.
