PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orthogonal shaft reduction gear with a motor and an orthogonal shaft reduction gear, capable of reducing the installation space, and to provide a joint structure of a robot capable of attaining size reduction. SOLUTION: In the orthogonal shaft reduction gear with a motor 1, a motor-fitting surface part 7a1 and a housing support surface part 7b1 are provided on the same one surface side of the housing 4, which prevents the motor 2 from protruding to any one surface side that is different from the surface to be supported by a mating member, when the housing 4 is supported by the opponent member. As a result, the orthogonal shaft reduction gear with a motor can be reduced in size, enabling installation space to be reduced. Furthermore, the motor 2 is enclosed in a first arm 30, and the first arm is externally connected to the orthogonal shaft reduction gear 1 with a motor, enabling the orthogonal shaft reduction gear 1 with a motor to be exposed at the jointing parts of a robot.
