PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a window apparatus allowing easy mounting of a window in the opening part of a building skeleton and inexpensive mounting of windows with different front shapes in the opening part of the building skeleton. SOLUTION: A frame 4 forming a window 3 comprises a main frame part 6 and a rectangular mounting fin part 7 extending from the outer peripheral surface 6a of the main frame part in the outer peripheral direction and corresponding to the rectangular opening part 2 of the building skeleton 1. The main frame part 6 and the mounting fin part 7 are formed integrally with each other by casting or injection molding. The mounting fin part 7 is fixed to the building skeleton 1 in contact with the outdoor opening edge of the opening part 2 by a fixture 7a. Since the window 3 can be mounted by such a simple operation that the mounting fin part 7 is fixed by the fixture 7a, and the outer peripheral surface 6a of the main frame part 6 can be formed in any shape without being restricted by the outer peripheral surface shape of the main frame part 6 of the frame 4, the windows with different front shapes can inexpensively be mounted.
