PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of perfectly preventing water leakage from any joint by forming a strong ceiling compound layer by reliably adhering the sealing compound to be newly filled when renewing the existing sealing compound filled in joint grooves. SOLUTION: A dry existing sealing compound in the joint grooves on exterior walls using ALC (autoclaved light-weight concrete) panels of an existing building is cut and removed together with ALC panels, and then a new sealing compound is filled in the reformed joint grooves in this joint repair method. For removing the dry existing sealing compound, it is desired to use a rotary cutting jig having a longitudinal vertical section of a tooth top being equal to a sectional shape of the joint groove.
