A method of manufacturing a component (100,200) of a respiratory apparatus is disclosed in which one or more elements (10,20,110,120,210,220) of the component (100,200) are moulded in a first material, at least one of which including a port (25,125) that enables access to gas within the component (100,200), during use. A second material (50,150) is then injection moulded onto the external surface of one of the elements (10,110,210), the second material (50,150) including an integral closure (52,152) for the port (25,125).
