<p>In an elevator monitoring system, an operation monitoring device receives data on operating conditions of elevators from a group management and control device and display the operating conditions on a monitor. The operation monitoring device is communicatable with an interphone base unit. Based on information received from the interphone base unit and relative to communicating conditions between the base units and terminal units and also based on data of the operating conditions, the operation monitoring device detects that an occupant in an elevator car of at least one elevator is not able to communicate through the interphone.</p> |
