The sprung rotary feeler has a yarn guide, off-set and vertical to the axis, so that on loss of tension through yarn breakage it is pivoted, and funnel shaped zones are created to offer an enlarged catchment area for the returning yarn end under the reverse action triggered by the swing of the feeler. The purpose is to provide a sensitive and automatic system to detect yarn breakage and return the broken end into the spinning chamber to effect a join.
