PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treatment method for a die where lubricity can be imparted to a die without performing the application of a lubricant. SOLUTION: When the powder of a solid lubricant is sprayed on the surface of a die together with a high speed gas, and a solid lubricant layer is formed on the surface of the die, upon the spraying of the solid lubricant, a spray nozzle is vibrated to the forward/backward direction of the spraying direction.
