PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the erroneous detection of prohibition and release of discharge in a sheet post-treatment device having a large amount loading mode for loading a first sheet loading tray from a first sheet discharge port while closing a second sheet discharge port. SOLUTION: When a sheet loading tray position detection means detects that the first sheet loading tray reaches the position for closing the second discharge port, the second sheet loading tray is prohibited to discharge paper. When it is determined by a paper presence/absence detection means that paper is absent on the first sheet loading tray and the second sheet loading tray, the prohibition of discharge of paper from the second sheet loading tray is released.
