PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmission and reception system enabling transmission-side and reception-side persons in charge to dynamically update an encryption key without synchronization. SOLUTION: A transmitter 100 after adding a session key as data for authentication to plaintext data ciphers the data by using the session key. Further, the transmitter 100 processes the session key according to a specified rule without synchronizing itself with a receiver 200. The receiver 200, on the other hand, deciphers the ciphered data from the transmitter 100 by using a session key, extracts the session key added as the data for authentication, and checks the validity of the data based upon whether the extracted session key matches the generated session key. When they do not match each other, the session key is processed according to a specified rule and deciphering and authentication are performed again. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
