PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect the amount of a coolant of an entire device in a refrigerating device (10) equipped with an option unit (30) provided between an outdoor unit (20) and an indoor unit (40). SOLUTION: The refrigerating device (10) is provided with a coolant amount detecting mechanism (60) for detecting the amount of coolant inside a coolant circuit (15), and a coolant discharging mechanism (55) for discharging the coolant inside the option unit (30) to the outdoor unit (20) and the indoor unit (40). A coolant amount detection operation using the coolant amount detecting mechanism (60) is performed after a coolant discharging operation using the coolant discharging mechanism (55).
