The invention concerns a terminal (30) belonging to a first telecommunication network (12), which includes a function for authenticating (33) the terminal and which offers a telecommunication service (34). Access to the network and registration with the service are managed in a common phase for the terminal (30). During said phase, a first message (31) including data indicating a request for access to the network and registration with the service is transmitted from the terminal addressed to the first network, via a second network (43) connected to the first network. Then upon reception of the first message in the first network, it is determined, based on the authentication function and data included in the first message, to grant the terminal access to the second network and registration with the service. Then, a second message (32) granting access to the second network and indicating registration of the terminal with the service is received on the terminal from the first network via the second network.
