A reinforcing structure of a rear body of a vehicle is provided to secure an absolute safe space against deformation of a mounting section of a fuel tank in a rear collision. A reinforcing structure of a rear body of a vehicle includes a front cross member(12), a rear cross member(14), a front side member(18), and a rear side member. The front cross member having a plurality of closed cross-sections is disposed transversely. The rear cross member having a plurality of closed cross-sections at a position spaced apart from the front cross member rearward is disposed transversely. The front side member having a plurality of closed cross-sections at both tip ends of the front and rear cross members is disposed longitudinally. The rear side member having a plurality of closed cross-sections on the rear side of the front side member is disposed toward the rear side of the vehicle. A fuel tank is installed in a space between the front/rear cross members and the front side member.
