<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus allowing an operator to quickly remove jammed paper when paper jams occur in two or more areas in the apparatus, and to provide its control method and control program. <P>SOLUTION: A paper jammed position is detected using a sensor groups 150 and is displayed on a display device. The image forming apparatus includes the function of discriminating whether toner on paper in a jammed position is unfixed or not. If paper jams occur in two more areas in the main body 100 of the apparatus, the display image indicating the jammed position of the paper with the unfixed toner thereon is shown on the image screen of a liquid crystal panel separately from display images indicating the other jammed positions.
