<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video reproduction system for a portable information device that enables an easy outdoor view of video images for a long time. <P>SOLUTION: A low power consumption display device 120 is connected to an external output terminal 11 on a cellular telephone 1 (portable information device). Video image data transferred from a personal computer 200 (external device) connected via an external interface 15 on the cellular telephone 1 (portable information device) is saved in a large capacity expansion memory 18 via a processor 7. For outdoor video reproduction, outputs to a liquid crystal panel 8 and a backlight 9 of the cellular telephone 1 are switched off and only the display device 120 is switched on to reduce power consumption, which enables long time reproduction only on a battery 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
