PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect location without cumulating errors associated with a move amount.

SOLUTION: An optical flow calculation part 202 calculates an optical flow based on a series of frame images relevant to the side of a mobile traveling on an arbitrary route. A distance calculation part 203 calculates the distance to an object based on the calculated optical flow and on the moving speed of a vehicle 401 detected by a moving speed detection part 201. A feature determination part 204 determines what-like feature the object is based on the calculated distance to the object. A location detection part 205 detects a current location of the mobile based on place data on the determined feature and on the calculated distance to the object.
