PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile door hinge device making a door hinge exert a stepless door check function capable of holding a door at any opening degree. SOLUTION: The automobile door hinge device comprises inner cylindrical elements 6, 16 integrally united with a first bracket 1 and rotatably fitted with an outer periphery of a hinge pin 5; an outer cylinder element 7 integrally united with a second bracket 2 and surrounding the inner cylindrical elements 6; a check spring 15 arranged between the inner cylindrical element 6 and the outer cylindrical element 7 and press-contacting on an outer peripheral surface of the inner cylindrical element 6 by its resilient force; and first and second controlling portions 16a, 16b provided on the inner cylindrical element 6, oppositely disposed to first and second engaging portions 15a, 15b at both ends of the check spring, and displacing the first and second engaging portions 15a, 15b in a direction releasing press-contact of the check spring 15 when one and the other of the inner cylinder element 6 and the outer cylinder element 7 are relatively rotated.
