PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document management device for classifying documents according to predetermined conditions, and for managing those documents by giving time stamps in a batch. SOLUTION: This document management device 10 for managing a document file to which a time stamp for time authentication is given is provided with a document storage part 12 including a plurality of folders corresponding to predetermined classification conditions for classifying the document files; a classification part 28 for classifying the document files into a plurality of groups according to predetermined classification conditions based on the attribute information of the document files; a storage part 32 for storing the document files into the plurality of corresponding folders of the document storage part 12; and a time stamp acquisition part 48 for acquiring one time stamp for each folder.
