PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission method, etc. which is suitable for providing a user with information such as programs using bands efficiently. SOLUTION: Programs of a channel A sent from the transmission side can be viewed in real time on the reception side. On the other hand, programs of a channel B are sent from the transmission side to the reception side in advance during a time zone such as night time with fewer viewers than in other time zones, and are stored in a storage device on the reception side. The stored programs have been encrypted. A program X is scheduled to be provided to viewers from 7 p. m. When the program providing time comes, data such as key as well as the data on the programs of the channel A are sent from the transmission side to the reception side.
