PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the structure of a simply structured membrane for a triaxial test used for observing the state of a soil sample within the membrane from the exterior and equipped with elasticity for flexibly responding to the deformation of the soil sample. SOLUTION: This membrane 1 for a triaxial test comprises a sleeve 2 made of rubber with a window 3 opened in its side surface. This membrane 1 has a transparent window 5 made by sticking a transparent synthetic resin film 4 on the periphery 6 of the window 3 from the inside of the sleeve 2 so as to close the window 3. The soil sample is put therewithin which is an object of the triaxial test. This membrane 1 conforms, without resisting, to the deformation of the soil sample, even if pressures are applied thereto in an axial direction and in a peripheral surface direction.
