PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument apparatus capable of presenting an amusing and novel way of showing pointers. SOLUTION: The instrument apparatus includes a pointer 4 having a longitudinally extended indication part 41; a first colored layer 44 formed on the front surface of the indication part 41; a second colored layer 45 layered on the first colored layer 44 and having a design part 47 made of an extracted part 46 which shows part of the first colored layer 44; an index plate 5 having an index part 51 indicated by the indication part 41; a first light source 61 for making the design part 47 emit light in a first color; a second light source 62 for making the indication part 41 including the design part 47 emit light in a second color different from the first color; and a control means D3 for making the first and second light sources 61 and 62 light up according to prescribed input signals.
