PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant polylactic acid thermoplastic resin composition having excellent mechanical properties such as impact resistance, heat-resistance, flame-retardancy, moldability, appearance, etc., practically sufficient in various fields and provide a molded article obtained by molding the flame-retardant polylactic acid thermoplastic resin composition. SOLUTION: The flame-retardant polylactic acid thermoplastic resin composition contains (A) 10-50 pts.wt. of a polylactic acid resin, (B) 5-35 pts.wt. of a rubber-reinforced resin and (C) 45-85 pts.wt. of a polyester resin and further contains, based on 100 pts.wt. of the sum of the polylactic acid resin A, the rubber-reinforced resin B and the polyester resin C, (D) 0.1-8 pts.wt. of an impact modifier and (E) 0.1-25 pts.wt. of a flame retardant.
