In a broadcast receiving apparatus, a demodulator demodulates the broadcast signal of a data broadcast program selected by a station selector to a transport stream, and an information acquiring part acquires, from the demodulated transport stream, a data broadcast content. A storing unit stores the acquired data broadcast content, and an information presenting part presents a data broadcast display based on the stored data broadcast content. If the reception status is a bad one, the information presenting part holds the representing state of the data broadcast display. If the reception status changes from the bad one to a good one and the data broadcast programs received in the good reception statuses before and after the bad one are the same, then the information presenting part resumes its presentation of the data broadcast display based on the stored data broadcast content.
