<p>The invention provides a nestable box spring foundation having a generally rectangular perimeter divided into a plurality of rectangular openings by a grid of longitudinally and laterally extending wires. Support is provided by a pair of generally U-shaped wire members mounted at their ends to adjacent grid wires. The members are of simple configuration and accordingly inexpensive to manufacture, simple to attach such as by welding and by virtue of their symmetry provide good lateral strength.</p>
