<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus for suppressing a rotation load of an image carrier or an intermediate transfer body generated when a recording medium enters without varying a transfer member when the recording medium enters. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus gives a prescribed acceleration on paper in response to a paper thickness, a linear speed of the image carrier or the like when the paper enters a pressure contact part, gives no variation in rotation speed of the image carrier or the intermediate transfer body even by an impact generated during entrance and changes a conveying speed into a constant speed after a paper edge reaches the pressure contact part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
