摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a liquid crystal display device that features improvement in field angle. <P>SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for a vertical alignment (VA) type liquid crystal display device whose liquid crystal molecules are perpendicular to an alignment plate in a voltage-off state, is characterized in that a polarizing plate is formed by sticking at least on a single surface of a polarizer a polarizer protective film having a retardation value (Rt value) of 90 to 175 (nm) defined by (1) an expression of Rt value=((nx+ny)/2-nz)&times;d (where ny is the refractive index of a film in a direction perpendicular to a filming direction, nz is the refractive index of the film along the thickness, and d is the thickness (nm) of the film), and that the polarizing plate is provided at least on one surface side of a liquid crystal cell. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
