<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor adaptable to various controllers, and to provide a controller. <P>SOLUTION: The information processor 1 connected to the controller 2 determines whether or not the controller 2 is equipped with a ringing device based on information received from the controller 2. Then, the information processor 1 conrtols whether or not a ringing command is outputted on the basis of the result of deteermining whether or not the controller 2 is equipped with the ringing device.
