PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely fix a permanent magnet in an accommodation recess, while securing the insertion properties of the permanent magnet relative to the accommodating recess of a rotor core. SOLUTION: A method for fixing a permanent magnet for fixing the permanent magnet in the accommodating recess, formed in a rotor core via an adhesive agent, comprises the steps of a first step for forming an adhesive agent sheet on the surface of the permanent magnet, by putting the adhesive agent on the surface of the permanent magnet and pressing the agent, while curing it; a second step for accommodating the permanent magnet having the adhesive agent sheet formed thereon by inserting it in the accommodation recess; and a third step for adhering and fixing the permanent magnet in the accommodation recess by making the adhesive agent sheet foam by heating. A margin is provided on the upper and lower, and the right and left sides of the adhesive agent sheet on the surface of the permanent magnet.
