PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid reduction in a quality of an output result in a case where text data are recorded and outputted, in a receiving and recording apparatus for receiving electronic mail and recording it out on recording paper. SOLUTION: Regarding a page stored as text data, it is prohibited to record the page while dividing it over a plurality of recording paper sheets and optimal recording paper is then selected, thereby avoiding reduction in a quality of an output result caused by dividing the page in the middle of characters.
